Everything went great for the intake for in home therapy. They looked over Brody and found is developmental age which was actually his age. They will began therapy here at my home within the next 30 days. It will be one time a week, that will cover both physical and occupational therapy. I thought that we would be able to continue therapy at chkd as well but apparently not. I'm actually okay with this because they paid a lot more attention to Brody and thought more about him and his future. I was very pleased with the things that they were telling me and the goals that we set.
Goals
-better head control
-reach and grasp toys in many different positions (tummy, back, etc)
-began to roll from side to side
-prop himself up on forearms
maybe another one or two. but those are the mains goals for now. they said these should reached by the end of april. im hoping sooner.
Also...We will be seeing a speech therapist..update post from yesterday...now 7 doctors! The speech therapist will do a feeding eval. They are concerned with his suck-swallow-breathe motion. Hopefully they can do something to make feeding him a little easier and more enjoyable for him.
