Yesterday I took Brody to his first Orthopedics appointment...Things went GREAT! Other than the screaming and crying throughout the entire appointment. The doctor met with us and looked over Brody, first he reassured us that he didn't think, by looking at Brody, that he thought he had any type of "syndrome." He said that more than likely all of this was cased by where he was growing....again another person has mentioned the thought of me having low amniotic fluid.
Dr. St. Remy took us over to radiology and had a full skeletal work up done...
HIS BONES ARE PERFECT!!!!
Very good news for us. His bones they can't fix but muscles and tissue...its just muscles and tissue. We still are not in the clear yet as far as the ease of him being able to crawl or walk but this is some great great news!
The only x ray that he was concerned about was #5 the one with his spine. Brody's spine isnt as curved as it should be yet..but he says that its fine for Brody's age that as he begins to sit up and straighten his body it should straighten out on its own. He will see us in 2 months to follow up on spine and feet flattening out some more.
